Craftsmanship
Natural texture and a raw sheet of glass.
I begin with the material, not the design. The root, branch, or stump determines the form — glass yields to nature, not the other way around. Each piece is made only once.
History
At the beginning of 2026, I started searching for a form that would bring nature and function together.
There were many ideas. When the selected roots arrived at my workshop, I already knew I would turn them into frames. Mirror frames.
Each root comes from a different part of the world — from African savannas to East Asian forests. Before reaching the workshop, each one already had its own history. Nature does not produce series.
After weeks of designing, cutting, and fitting, the first mirror cracked. I started again. This time, with experience I did not have before.
Seven objects. Each root seasoned and heat-treated, finished with a clear wax oil. Silvered glass, ground and custom-cut by a craftsman in Kraków. Plywood finished in matte black lacquer. Mounted with a French cleat — solid, hidden, secure.
